Manifesto + Teaching Ethos

Breath is the basis for everything we are able to do as physical beings. Breath is life, and because we can breathe, we can move.

Manifesto

Breath and movement are the essence of life and have the ability to transform people from the inside, out.

I believe that by harnessing the power of conscious breath and physical movement, we can embrace a more harmonious existence in our daily lives.

As a teacher, I emphasize the transition of movement and breath to flow seamlessly into the next, with purpose.

This framework is an allegory for how I want to consciously move through life – all actions, thoughts, and emotions intertwined.

As a result, my objective as a movement teacher is to work with students to recognize their own conscious movement, and the power they have over their presence in this world. Balance, stability, and strength are challenged simultaneously, which parallels our everyday lives.

Ethos

I emphasize the transition of breath into flow.

I wish for one movement to flow seamlessly into the next, with purpose. This framework is an allegory for how I want to consciously move through life – all actions, thoughts, and emotions are intertwined. In practice, I believe controlling physical movement leads to your ability to control emotional movement.

As a result, my objective as an teacher is to work with students to recognize their own conscious movement, and the power they have over their presence in this world.

I engage multiple muscle groups to work at the same time. Balance, stability, and strength are challenged simultaneously, much like in our everyday lives.
